Fish Biryani is extremely flavourful and easy to cook. I have used Dill leaves, which adds extra taste to the dish. You can choose any fish or even a fillet can be used. This recipe calls for very less ingredients.
Ingredients

500 gms of King Fish

2 cups Yogurt or Curd

3 Tablespoons Biryani Masala

1 Tablespoon Chilli Powder

½ Teaspoon Turmeric
-
2 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

1 cup Coriander Leaves
-
1 cup Mint Leaves
-
¼ cup Dill Leaves
-
1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
-
2 Green Chillies
-
1 cup Fried Onions
-
Oil
-
Salt, to taste
For Rice

2 cups Basmathi Rice
-
3 Cardamoms
-
3 Cloves
-
1 Cinnamon
Method
-
Marinate fish with chilli powder, turmeric and salt.

Wash and soak basmathi rice for 30 to 40 mins.

Heat oil in a pan, cook marinated fish and set aside.

In the same pan add yogurt, biryani masala, coriander leaves, mint leaves, dill leaves, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, lime juice, fried onions and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Now take half of the cooked masala and add it with fried fish, which we have kept aside.

Then heat water in a vessel and cook the rice with salt, cardamoms, cloves and cinnamon until it is 90% cooked.

Now add the 90% cooked rice on the top of the yogurt masala and spread evenly.

Then on the top of the rice add fried fish mixed with masala, little fried onions.

Cover the pan with foil and place the lid on the pan and cook on low flame for 10 mins.

Serve biryani with Yogurt Chutney and Salan.
Tips and Variations:

Don't skip dill leaves, it is very important for fish biryani.

You can use any biryani masala. I have used Shan Biryani Masala.
