Broad Beans is my favourite vegetable. I grab this whenever I see fresh broad beans in the supermarket. We can’t find this bean much in many places, but it is very famous in Ooty. Whenever we visit Ooty, we make sure to buy broad beans. This is similar to mochai but it is double the size of mochai. You can follow the same recipe to make mochai kuzhambu. Adding potato and brinjal gives extra flavour and taste to the curry.
Mochai Kuzhambu is very famous in Baduga Festival. They make this any function. I heard from my baduga friends that they use a very special spice powder to make this curry, but I have made this recipe using easily available spice powders. I make this curry more often since this is our favourite dish and can be made in 15 minutes. So, if you get broad beans or mochai just go ahead and try this recipe and I am sure your family will enjoy every bit of it.
