Paneer is favourite for many of us. We can make many different dishes with Paneer. Paneer can be used in Rice dishes, Currys, Parathas, etc. Paneer Sandwich Pakoda is a small twist from regular sandwich. Serve this dish with Tamarind sauce or Coriander chutney.
Paneer Sandwich Pakoda/Cottage Cheese Pakoda
Ingredients

250 gms of Paneer/Cottage Cheese

1 cup of Besan/Chickpea Flour

6 Bread Slices
-
1 Teaspoon of Chilli Powder
-
½ Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
-
1 Tablespoon Yogurt
-
Oil for Frying
-
Salt, to taste
To Spread

Coriander/Green Chutney
-
Garlic/Red Chutney
Method

Cut paneer into big slices to fit inbetween the bread slices. Marinate Paneer with ½ teaspoon chilli powder, turmeric, salt and yogurt.

Shallow fry paneer for 2 minutes on both the sides on a griddle.

Take a bowl add besan flour, salt, remaining chilli powder and water, mix it like a batter.

Cut the crust from the bread slices.

Take 2 bread slices to make one sandwich pakoda.

Take Red chutney and Green chutney. Spread red chutney in one slice and green chutney on the other bread slice.

Keep the shallow fried paneer/cottage chees in between the 2 bread slices.

On the other side, heat oil in pan, to deep fry the pakodas.

Dip the bread sandwich in the chickpea batter, deep fry them.

Fry the pakodas on both the sides, drain the pakodas from oil.

Cut them diagonally and serve with tamarind sauce or green chutney.
Tips and variations:

You can use plain paneer instead of shallow fried one. I prefer to marinate and shallow fry to give extra taste to the paneer/cottage cheese.
